This week on Wide Open Throttle, the Jeep Wrangler is named the “Official Vehicle of USA Basketball” for the Olympic run. Plus, Chrysler announces its decision to axe the Jeep Compass and the Chrysler Town and Country minivan.
Then, I head to Malibu to tackle an unforgiving off-road course in the 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Altitude, the latest series-build variant of the most iconic Jeep model.

In way you slice it = low quality. :/

[..YouTube..] I can understand why Chrysler is dumping the T&C despite how nice it is. Luxury/upscale brands don’t have minivans. Thus, Chrysler in ’14 will go towards a crossover. The Mercedes R-class is a crossover, but it looked like a minivan — it didn’t do well sales wise here.

A 4×4 course is dragging the bumper while coming out of a canyon or wash, and having to hit the throttle to get up steep gravely hills and having a tire in the air half the time, thats a real off road 4×4 course, not that dumb dirt road shit.
