I’ve been excited to road test the 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX STI hatchback since it debuted earlier this year at the New York Auto Show. My expectations were high, but the STI did not let me down. YouTube Preview Image

    [..YouTube..] Everything with the turbo makes you happy… haha, Ferarris, Lambos and the Merc sls (and many others) have all naturally aspirated engines. That seems to be the way into the future, turbos won’t be needed anymore

    LOL watch who you call dumb dude….you might want to look in the mirror. What do you think the engine has to do to compensate for all the extra air? Thats right…dump in more fuel. The turbo isn’t some magic device that lets the car ignore all laws of physics. The only time you save fuel on a turbo car is when you are driving at low RPM and the turbo isn’t spooled.

    I’d get the 5.0 mustang and spend a bit more to get ALOT more car. scary thing is the 6 speed 5.0 mustang gets similar 17 MPG CITY/24(!!!) MPG HWY when your NOT romping on it like you stole it. but man oh man does it go.

    Mate, a 5.0 mustang without supercharger wouldn’t keep up with this even in a straight line. haha and you couldnt launch the rwd heavier mustang anywhere near as good. But if your any taller than 6 foot a subbie isnt really your car anyways, and think about the aussies, there a new STi is 70k and a mustang is 150k although a Ford falcon same engine as your mustang is 70k
    But just saying, for the streets STi is unbeatable :)

    [..YouTube..] @thestig245 Dude…the specs for the NEW 5.0 Mustang are as follows 0-60MPH in just 4.8 seconds…3875 Lbs manual trans, 412HP@7000RPM it costs $32,980 the gas mileage is city/hwy 17/26
    .
    the STi limited is 3417 Lbs, 305HP 0-60 in 4.7 SECONDS, with all wheel drive helping it.cost is $37,345 and the gas mileage is only city/hwy 17/23
    4000 DOLLARS for a TENTH of a second?? and less MPG rating…sorry, Ford Wins.

    but set up correctly and tuned right, it’s close, but when you go on boost you need to add ALOT MORE gas, or the engine will run lean and fry the pistons or valves, or even worse run too hot.
